Starting in October 2025, an exhibition in Bologna presents a focused exploration of Beverly Pepper’s work, examining her shift from sculpture as an autonomous object to a spatial and social experience. Centered on key works from the late 1960s, the exhibition traces the development of her practice toward what she defined as Connective Art, where sculpture extends into the surrounding environment.

Featuring sculptures, models, drawings, and archival materials, the exhibition highlights Pepper’s redefinition of monumentality, her concept of Amphisculpture, and her understanding of sculpture as a site of encounter, refuge, and collective meaning.
