ARTVERONA 2025
BOOTH D1
Main section – Hall 11
Stefano Malinverno is pleased to announce its participation to ARTVERONA 2025.
On this occasion the booth of Stefano Malinverno brings together works by Richard Stankiewicz, Tony Berlant, Pavlos, and Lawrence Carroll—four artists who, each in their own way, redefined the role of materials in contemporary art. At the heart of this presentation is a shared sensibility: the transformation of non-traditional, often recycled or industrial materials into poetic, sculptural forms.
Richard Stankiewicz pioneered a new language of assemblage using discarded metal parts, turning scrap into expressive figures that balance humor, critique, and form. Tony Berlant creates richly textured wall-based works using tin, found metal, and printed materials, combining collage with a sculptural presence. Pavlos deconstructs printed paper—magazines, advertisements, packaging—and reinvents it into dynamic, tactile compositions that blur the line between sculpture and painting. Lawrence Carroll approaches fragility and slowness through minimal, layered constructions using salvaged materials, wax, and faded surfaces that invite close, meditative looking.
What unites these artists is not just their material choices, but their ability to assign new meaning and presence to what is often overlooked. Through reuse, layering, and transformation, their works suggest alternative narratives of memory, time, and matter. This booth proposes a dialogue between their practices, emphasizing an ethic of reinvention and a deep attention to the physicality of materials.
The booth will be completed with works by Nobuya Abe, Enrico Baj, James Brown and Larry Rivers.
